Sessions always begin with some degree of assessment, as seeing the full picture of what is happening in your life is essential to developing goals for therapy and setting a treatment plan. However, if you want a more in-depth assessment, a written assessment measure can be used.
If you are having trouble in your marriage or relationship, you can opt to do therapy together, with both individuals attending sessions and working through the relationship and communication building exercises.
